Doing tasks together like sharing, team work is a very important thing to learn for kids. Apart from cooking if anyone allows their children to play outdoor, they can understand the value of it.
Oh please let kids play outside. Playing outside is so healthy and important for them.
I loved cooking with my child when she was younger. .Now that she’s a teenager it has been wonderful, since now she enjoys cook full dinners. (With mom and dad close by of course)
Our kids are still young but can’t wait for the moment when they come up with great recipes. Most important is not to force them to do the tasks and just have fun together.
Starting everything young is mostly helpful. Preach please. Let’s not add more to the kids who are growing up spoiled.
This was so fun to read! My little one is always so curious, so I’ll definitely try to incorporate him in the kitchen more with these ideas! Thanks 🙂
We always think, that involving kids in our daily life will cost us much more time to get done with our tasks. But actually it is better involving them and have great time together.
I agree to all the statements you’ve listed down about cooking with your children. I love cooking with my children and they love helping out too. Our kitchen and dining room are the hearts of our household and it seems like we’re always in these two places. 😛
Same with us
Well said. We need to teach kids to be responsible but in an interesting way. It’s true that while learning all those things itself, kids can learn the rest of the subjects too.
Cooking with a child will be so much fun but it will be more important to let them play outside than cooking. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I completely agree with you. We just believe that you also can have fun with kids in the kitchen. Playing outdoor is so important for their health
I like how it is bolded cooking helps children learn how to clean up. Yes the earlier kids learn some basic cleaning skills, the better they can keep these habits when they get older.
Well I don’t have kids and don’t cook so probably can’t apply this anytime soon. Great to keep in mind though.
I agree, it is very important to include kids in kitchen matters so it is easy when kids grow up. It takes so much time to find your way to kitchen when you have been isolated from it as a kid or worse when suddenly parents force kids on the kids once they ‘come of age’
I totally like this. Doing cook in the kitchen with kids is a great idea to learn skills and they will apply in the future. nice post
I wish I had spent more time in the kitchen as a kid. I think it would have instilled even better values in me!
I do think getting kids involved in the kitchen at an early age helps a lot. When you do that and get to making things on your own, that’s so great.
our son used to be a fussy eater till we started involving him the cooking process. Now it’s a fun activity that we can do as a family and he loves food.
Exactly, it really does help fussy eaters. They are so happy to eat that what they have done. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Great post here! My kids love to help out in the kitchen which helps me but also teaches them basic life skills. We love to cook together and bake!
I wish I was trained during my kiddie years in the kitchen! Although I’ve learned much with other tasks, I think having the ability to try cooking as a kid would have made me more inclined to cooking meals all the time. I’d love to incorporate this when I have kids of my own in the future!
That was a nice information, thank you for sharing. It’s a pleasure to visit here. You can also visit us in Volcano Falls

Great post!
Cooking is the most basic skill. Breaking it down pointwise, especially how it makes my kid learn to multitask, clean – is really made this a great post. Btw, I just taught my kid to cook noodles today 🙂
She cooked for the very first time.
Wow, this sounds amazing, I hope that you are doing it often now 🙂
Watching kids as they cook in the kitchen can be so fun! They learn different skills at early ages which will stick with them for life.
