Here comes a fresh and healthy Easter decoration idea to make your kids' plates extra special.
I used hard boiled eggs, a carrot and chives.
To create the obligatory little Easter bunnies, I cut an egg horizontally twice to get a slice for one head and the top for the other one. For the bunny body, I cut an egg vertically.
Appropriately enough, I made the ears from carrots, sharpened the ends a little and pricked them into the egg half.
For the other bunny, I made ears by halving a quarter of an egg.
I added sesame as eyes, a piece of carrot as nose and chives as whiskers.
If you want to go for a chicken instead of a bunny, simply cut feet, a beak and a cockscomb from a slice of carrot. You might want to prepare the egg as shown above or sharpen the carrot to stick it in like the bunny ears before.
Happy Easter!
