In those first months, everything is a first for your little sunshine.
I wanted to make something special for my cousin's baby that both she and her son would enjoy. So I decided to make a snowflake mobile that is an exciting thing to look at for the little baby boy and a nice decoration for his mom in the frosty season.
It is really simple to do with things everybody has around the house and the garden (or a nearby park). I collected some twigs and washed them with warm water to make sure no dirt would fall on the baby. I dried them with paper towels and trimmed them to roughly the same length.
Then I tied them together in the form of a star with the help of some thread.
I cut out the snowflakes myself but if you have older children who would like to help with the mobile just have them make the snowflakes for their baby brother or sister.
Then simply tie the snowflakes to the twigs with some thread.
I also added little cotton balls to the mobile as special eye catcher.
Judging from his face, he liked the mobile very much.
We made sure to hang the mobile high enough so that he wouldn't pull on the strings. There are a lot of different shapes and textures to look at and he seemed very happy to do so. Baby's first snow was a huge success!
