Today we made our own geo board to encourage young kids with their fine motor skills as well as to teach them about shapes.
This was a pretty easy project but also a figure-it-out-as-you-go one.
First we hot glued a few squares of cardboard together. Originally, I thought two would be enough but in the end, four was the magic number.
Duct tape across the surface helps with stabilizing the pushpins that come next.
We made a peg board template to mark the dots evenly on our card board. You can download it and print it for yourself if you're thinking about making one. Just size it according to your board.
And then we got busy making all kinds of shapes and designs.
Here's a few ideas for your kids to work on once they've mastered the basic shapes. Download our geo board template here.
