Fruit is the ideal alternative for sugary junk food snacks. It's fresh and healthy and super yummy. Bananas for example are fruits full vitamins, minerals and fiber and therefore good for everyone - from toddlers to grandparents. But not all kids are happy to have fruit as a snack. Here is how your kids will love to eat banana.

Cocoa Banana

If your child isn't satisfied with the sweet taste of pure banana, just slice it up and sprinkle some cocoa powder on the pieces.

For one banana, a teaspoon of cocoa powder is totally sufficient. You can gradually decrease the amount of cocoa to reduce the sugar even more.

This is a nourishing and healthy snack that kids usually enjoy very much.

Banana Puppy

If you don't like the idea of adding extra sugar then embrace your inner artist and create a cute, little dachshund from the banana. Your child can even help prepare it.

Let your kid peel the banana. Then you carefully divide the banana in half as shown in the picture above.

Keep one half as the dog’s body and cut the other one as you can see it above. Those will be the head and the two ears. You can also try to cut the edges on the ears round to look a little more realistic.

Then go back to the other half and take a small piece of banana away. This will be one of the paws and also helps to keep the head in place.

Cut out two legs, another paw and a tail from the remaining banana and place everything as shown in the picture.

I used pieces of raisins as eyes and nose.

And bow-wow, there’s the cute little doggie on your child’s plate.
