Jenga is a classic game that requires hand-eye coordination and good fine motor skills. The first few rounds are usually easy as you carefully remove a block from the tower and place it on top. But the tension mounts as the game progresses and less stable blocks are available. It all comes together (falls apart?) in that one moment when the tower finally tumbles over, naming the last person the loser.

I remember playing this in my first grade classroom and loving it. When I saw it at the grandparents house the other day, those memories came rushing back and I was just as excited to show my little girl.

Jenga 1

Yes, Jenga is a game for ALL ages. Although she doesn't quite get the rules yet, she was more than happy to chew on the blocks with her two teeth and knock down the tower I built over and over.

When we came home I looked online to buy one of our own and found all these other fun versions of the tumbling tower game.

Jenga 2

This large set looks so entertaining for an outdoor summer gathering or kids birthday party. Although, if you have enough space, it would probably be almost as cool inside.

Jenga 3

And this do-it-yourself set is for even older (taller) kids who can reach to the top. Just be careful when it comes crashing down!

The Throw and Go version has colorful blocks and a dice to lower your block removing options.

And if you're really up for a challenge, this Tetris version makes things much more complicated.
Who's ready for game night??
