My youngest niece created her very first giant necklace. 🙂
She brought her wooden lacing toy to our place and we both had a lot of fun with this little game. Lacing toys are a great way to encourage every toddler's fine motor skills and hand-eye-coordination. It also teaches them to keep trying and not to give up until they finally succeed to put the thread through the hole.
It's so cute to see how proud she is when she finally succeeds.
I especially like that they are made out of wood and therefore also have a certain sensory effect. There are many variations - not just for girls but also for boys. I am a huge fan of HABA products, a German company producing high quality wooden toys for kids all over the world. With these I am on the safe side and never need to worry about splinters in tiny toddler hands.
